A diary of the pieces I'm working on and finished. Too many have been finished, but I've forgotten who I made them for and which patterns I've completed. Here will be my memory!

Chic!
Here are the photos of the finished "Chic" by Ticoeur. It was a very fun project with the lacy edge being a first for me. I apologize for the sideways photos. I can't get them to turn, even though they are right on my computer...I need a teenager to help me....
This will be a very fun keepsake for me to use in the years to come!

Chic and Practical
I just finished this little gem! It's called Chic and Practical by Ticoeur This is the Practical version and is a gift. The Chic version is still in progress and I can't wait to finish that one for myself. The Chic version has a lacy edge which I've never done before, so I'm a little nervous! Thanks for stopping by to check things out!

Hal Baby by Mamen
This was to be a baby bib, but it was just too beautiful a piece so I altered it a bit and made it into a rectangle to be used as a doily. Lots of fun new stitches on this! Very fun HAL to do! Thank you, Mamen.

A nice surprise this week!
After leaving a meeting at Hennepin County Century Plaza with student interns, I was walking to my car in the nearby church parking lot. As I was looking at this very old church, I was remembering all my visits of various churches in Europe many years ago. I then realized that right here in front of me was something I should take the time to see. I had parked at this lot many times over the years, but never thought of actually going in to check it out. So I did. There was security people at the door in the visitors reception area. They were confused by my request to look in at the chapel, but finally realized I wanted nothing more than to visit. I was let in and left to be on my own. In the huge chapel, the organist was practicing on a 6,000 pipe organ! It brought tears to my eyes hearing the lovely music and the light from all the stained glass was brilliant in the noon sunshine. I sat for a bit and thought a few photos would be good. When I started walking to the back, I realized I wasn't alone. A volunteer was cleaning the hymnal racks and sharpening the little pencils. She gave me a tour, led me up to the balcony and told me some of the history of the church. Here are my pictures that I wanted to share with you of the 100 year old Central Lutheran Church. Enjoy! and imagine the beautiful music...

Great Fabric Options!
Here is a great site for fabric orders. The shipping will be a little more, but the prices are great! Beats having to order by 55" wide...

I will post the next step as I continue. This fabric is 28 ct Jobelan in light dusty pink with ecru and dusty pink pearle cotton. The camera did not pick up the colors as nice as they are. Stay tuned for the next step...
